The day today started out bad -_- It was really cold and windy this morning. Class was dull and boring. I fell asleep in my contemporary art class because the teacher had the people read aloud a reading that we to read for homework....fail on my teacher's part. then the afternoon came! God is good! So the apartment that we lost on summit didn't sign, so that means WE GOT IT! whoo. So we shall not be living on maynard next year, but closer OSU in the central region. I made an appointment so all we have to do is sign! So when I left for class, instead of wind, I was met with SNOW! For me I just don't like the cold unless there is snow, and I was blessed with a snow fall! Then gospel choir! I love that class. It's a whole different style of worship music. It's always fun in that class. And on top of that the professor said that he would give me private sessions to develop my vibrato! great success! Off to study....

Today, I saved $25 on groceries! So exciting ah. Anyways, there has been a couple of things on my mind, first apartment stuff. Although we didn't get the one in central, in the end it was blessing, because now Chris and I (maybe josh) will probably be living in the same building as everyone else! (jacqu, eilen, carl, issac, hans, etc etc.) Our place will be a lot nicer than what we could have gotten for at central. The only downside is distance, which for me, isn't that big of a deal.

School is going to get very strenuous in the next couple of weeks. I will have a whole bunch of assignments and quizzes for the rest of the quarter. I guess that's what I get for deciding to do a whole bunch of gen ed courses in a quarter. No projects and stuff like that -_- I actually liked doing projects every week. It was work but it wasn't too stressing.

Last weekend, a group of us traveled to chicago to visit anna for mlk weekend. It really was a eventful weekend. It was exciting to go see the sites and walk up and down michigan avenue taking pictures of everyone and everything. It was really fun visiting Victor and all the chicago people...jerry, steven, david, john etc. Now i'm really excited to go to New York with the same group of people for spring break. It's going to be awesome! Here are some pictures from the weekend.

I'm sitting in my art history class currently half listening to my professor talk about Titian's "Danae" It's rather dull and boring. It took 30 minutes of trudging through a blizzard to get to class. And the lovely thing about it was that the snow was blowing in my face the whole time! I thought that when I moved to my apartment that I wouldn't have to walk that far again...which brings me to apartment hunting. It has rather been frustrating looking for an apartment to live in next year. We had found a place to live but my mom didn't like the location so we have to search for another place. It had the perfect location and the amenities were perfect....oh well. I found another place that is a little bit further that may be the place....we shall see.

So school has started and I discovered a rather interesting phenomenon. I was so excited to start class again, to get into that mode of "school" and art! But now I have such a hard time motivating myself to go to class. It's like I had so much energy before school to go to school and now I feel so lazy! I got to sleep on time and I get a decent amount of sleep...maybe it's just winter...I felt like this about his time last year too. Oh well, I just have to keep studying I guess.

MLK weekend is coming up fast and the plan is to go down to Chicago with Chris, Shing, Jacqueline, and Katie to visit Anna. Man, she is a "loved" girl...lol. It should be fun hanging out with the guys in a different city....I really want to eat some legit food. I'll probably post on it after we come back.

Ok picture time!. Here is a picture from a wedding I shot. I posted it on my xanga on my last post, but since I'm done with xanga! I decided to repost, because I really like the photo. Enjoy!

I figured that I would make this my photography blog too since I don't have one. So these are a couple of pictures from December. I will probably be interlacing it with actual blog posts. So stay tuned for more!

Ah yes, so the new year of 2009 has arrived. I guess, I'll start by recapping the year and then going on to resolutions.

I can't say that this year was good but I can't it was bad. A lot of things changed. Although some were for the worst, I can't say I didn't grow. I think I grew more.....cautious? It use to be I was all about plunging into the pool, but after certain things, I really have tried to become more reserved among just everyone. I really want to become that guy whose words have weight in them. But that takes time. Anyways. This year had it's ups and downs. It's time to move onto a new year. It's time to try new things.
I really think that this year...hurt me a lot. There were major changes in my life, and my ego was really scarred. My confidence was really....shot. I made a lot of mistakes; a lot of regrets. But you have to move on, life moves on, and you have to move on with it. You can't dwell on the past.

So here is my new years' resolutions....

Work out at least 3 times a week including cardio. also with the health stuff: carb cycling, eating less at dinnner and lunch. Eating more at breakfast.

Get better at guitar and leading worship

Be more patient and responsible, more prayerful.

Moving on....the retreat was rather awesome! The messages were good. God has really gifted Pastor Victor in preaching. He's a really dynamic speaker which makes it awesome! I met new people from Chicago and Arizona, man what a diverse group of people.....haha
I was in charge of leading worship. Man, December and the months leading up to it was a real challenge. There were so much things that just went wrong. First, we had internal trouble with the people in the team, then people kept missing practices, and it was just crazy! As time winded down, I just really stopped caring and let things go....like I let God take control. Even on the day before the retreat started, our drummer dropped out because of family stuff. So the day before the whole retreat was suppose to start, we were without a drummer, but yet....I wasn't worried...haha, by then, nothing that happened could phase me. OMGOSH! good thing tracy came and saved the day! I think the lesson is really to depend on God, He has everything covered. There is no need to worry about things.

There was something different about this retreat compared to the other retreats like MCCA and all those ohio retreats. God was there. God met with people. The last two nights were amazing. I've never seen the youth group like this. God messed people up. I really felt the Spirit of God over everyone. The air was thick with the Holy Ghost, omgosh. When everyone started praying with their families, I actually got overcome with emotion. I've never seen the 4c families praying together like that. Watching all of this on the stage was so overwhelming It was an awesome sight to see people praying with each other. People really truly worship God. I haven't seen worship and prayer like this at 4c in a long time. Barriers are being broken down. Walls are being torn apart. The kingdom of heaven is forcifuly advancing. It's amazing! JESUS IS ALIVE AND HE IS COMING.
