Sorry I haven't updated this week. It's been hectic and busy, and I'm kind of stressing out in my mind...There is so much in the upcoming weeks that I probably won't be able to blog weekly until finals are over. Rest assured I will update about the weeks missed. I leave you with a picture I just took in the photo lab...where I will spend the next couple weeks in. Pray for me pleasseeee

Again with the busy weekends! sheesh. I'm was going full steam all weekend long, I don't know how I survived. Anyways! here is the rundown...pictures included of course...

I was running all around Columbus this weekend. I finally visited COSI for the first time ever....for a shoot, I didn't even see the whole place. Sad...
But I got a picture of the president of Ohio State University. Dr. Gordon Gee. Sadly his natural face is....angry? haha. oh well, I like it, it's his dark side...O.o Well actually it's probably because the COSI shoot was at 9 am...gah so early.
I was so tired from the night before but right after going to COSI, I had to hurry to class....where I got bored and tired...haha the girl next to me is sleeping.
Anyways, moving onward to the evening, shot baseball for the second time. My favorite picture of that event was not even the baseball but of this shot...But here is a "sports" shot for you all to look at
Moving on to the next day, which was....saturday? yes, woke up early to go to worship practice. Then ran off to go shoot sofball where the girls went off to win against kentucky and go to the super regionals! yay!

Then went off to go help do fundraising....sigh..so busy, anyways, went home and started editing....didn't get done till like 2 in the morning
Which wasn't healthy because then I had to wake up early for 8:30 prayer and then do worship which ended up being awesome. I like doing worship with Jacqueline...she can sing! haha, and we both can harmonize to each other....love that. And yes...that is a microphone nun! hehe.
Oh yeah, if your wondering why I have a picture of Jacqueline is because this weekend I embarked on a challenge...a challenge of photo documenting my life for my final photo project. At the end of the weekend I had taken about 1800 pictures. It was so mentally draining to be constantly taking pictures. Anyways moving on, after church did fundraising and lunch. After that I ran off to meet with my editor and do another shoot. Then hurried off to Shing's relatives restaurant and had an awesome dinner in exchange for a family portrait. They wanted something simple so I just had them line up together. Meh, I could have done better, but oh well.
After dinner went over to easton and did a fun car shoot with shing and paul, which brings me to the picture of the week. This is one of my favorite pictures I have ever shot. It is classic....shing, creeper man, I didn't even try to get the shot, he just appeared in it haha. Anyways, Paul and I were thinking about doing this every sunday night or like ever other week. Basically we would do a shoot on Sunday evening and anyone can come and model or shoot. Bring your cameras and models will be available or if you want pictures, we can photograph you. Learn how to take photos and learn how to model. It would be fun and people can improve on their photography. It's a chance for everyone to learn! Anyways, enjoy!

This week has been rough physically and spiritually. I'm so exhausted. My brain is a soup.....I need prayer guys. On top of stress, I'm feeling heavy heavy spiritual attack. I really really need prayer. I really am kind of depressed right now, I don't know if it's one of my mood swings but I feel so down...and it's mother's day on top of that! I should be happy.

Ok, putting that aside, I'll try to make this a more upbeat post. The photography this weekend was probably the best I've done in awhile....Each picture has an interesting story to go with it so I hope you enjoy, feel free to laugh at me.

Thursday, I went on the oval on campus and shot this picture for an assignment. Here is the "laugh at me" story. So I walked up to this couple with their dog and got their permission to photograph them. I put my hand near the little dog and she freaking bit me! haha. It didn't draw blood but still, it surprised me because I didn't expect that dog to be so ferocious. Anyways, I started shooting and the dog calmed down and got into a cute pose. I got the photo I wanted and thanked them and reached down to pet the dog inadvertantly...and it tried to bite me again!© All Rights Reserved Full Circle Photography

Next photo is at the newly built library at OSU. I got a sneak peak preview because my roommate is library security. I thought that I would take some pictures for UWeekly, so I got in and started taking pictures. As I was walking down the the stairs to exit. I got caught by this guy...haha, he took my information and my editor's information. I don't think he is going to call. So these empty shelves next year will be filled with books...exciting.

I have aquired a new lens! Here is my new baby. It is the Canon 70-200mm IS F2.8. This enabled me this weekend to shoot some sports! I now have photographed three sport's events! Look at my credentials!

So my weekend sports photography started off with some tennis and ended with softball. There aren't really any interesting stories behind it. But here are some shots.

Mother's Day! This is what I got for my mom. It was when she got her membership transferred. Canvased and Stretched. I love my mommy.

ah yes. Sunday night, chillin with the guys at Josh's, writing the blog. I'm going to recap the the weekend. Oh yeah, I'm going to start doing the Picture of the Week. It's basically my favorite picture that I take from the week.

Ok so this weekend was sort of chill. Had to do a couple of assignments. Here's what I do during the weekend. So Swine Flu! Nothing to interesting. I really like the attitude of the girl. It's like, Swine Flu, you can't take me!At the OSU Urban Art Gallery. They tried out this new thing. They had an exhibit for the blind. So this is so crazy...but anyways, this is the photo for it.
Moving on to the internship. This weekend, I had the opportunity to shoot a tai kwon do tournament and a dance competition. Sadly I didn't do too well in either. But here are some shots from the tai kwon do tourney. This poor girl got punched in the throat...and apparently you are not allowed to punch people in the throat....O.o And this is the regular action shot I guess...Here is a shot from the dance thing, It was for young kids and they were all doing a group dance. It was cute.
And finally! The Picture of the Week. I was walking backstage behind the curtain to get to the other side. It was all dark and this was the only light that was lit in the back. This lone light, so I quickly composed a shot of it, and this is how it turned out. I really like it. It's now my computer background. I really like the idea of just one light piercing the darkness. Enjoy.
Edit: Oh yeah, thanks for pointing that out jiow. Feel free to take the Picture of the Week and use it...just don't say you took the shot yourself. But anything else, don't take because those are licensed and copyrighted not under me. O.o

rant

So my editor is kind of unreasonable. She wants me to be even more creative than I am right now. Now you say Victor, just do it....be creative! But! there is one problem. I can't be creative when I'm scrambling every weekend just hit the deadline. She gives me 7 assignments on wednesday night thursday morning....which btw aren't even developed so I have to wait to see what the subject is about. Because I can't can't afford any time to reshoots. SO I have 2-3 days to shoot 7 assignments....She doesn't even tell me what the cover is till thursday night at...3 AM! AHHHHHHHH!

SUCH HIGH EXPECTATIONS which I can understand.....but she needs to realize that I am a FULL TIME STUDENT on top of it all, with other responsibilites. It's just too much. IF she wants me to be more creative then give me less assignments to shoot. sheesh. It's a campus newspaper not TIME magazine. I don't get paid enough to be creative.


BLAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH sigh.

I needed to write that out. It's been brewing since last night 3 am. Ok...over it...sort of. So this weekend is full again, which is ok. I had great success in reformatting my computer last night and I have everything I need installed and more! Praise God, He is good.


I'll update on Sunday what shots I took this weekend. Off to run errands and shoot shoot shoot...photographs =)
